We recorded our second CD in February 2016 at The Sound Gallery Studios in Exeter.
We gave it the title "Absolutely" since the playlist includes a wonderful song of that name written and recorded by Jabbo Smith in 1938. This is the title track.
Lina Blues was written and recorded by Jabbo in 1929 and is different in that a solo chorus is played on the valve trombone.
The Jabbo Five normally play with sousaphone to echo the line up of Jabbo Smith's Aces of Rhythm, but in this number, The Sunset Cafe Stomp, Mike switches to the trombone so that we can play in the style of Louis Armstrong's Hot Five.
