Love    Here Jabbo sings his own composition with the French band 'Hot Antic'.  'Hot Antic', lead by cornet player Michel Bastide,  modelled themselves on Jabbo's 1929 band - a good 30 years ahead of Dave!  This recording was made at a concert in 1982.

Little Willie Blues  Here Jabbo plays another of his own compositions at the same concert with 'Hot Antic'.

Where Jabbo's Musical Career Started

The Jenkins Orphanage Band  This is rare footage from a 1928 Fox Movietone is of the Jenkin's Orphange Band in South Carolina. Jabbo lived there for ten years from 1914 (when he was 6) until about 1924 (when he was 16). This is where he received his musical training.

The Jenkins Orphanage Band  This clip has the same soundtack as the one above but there are fascinating still pictures as well - including Jabbo.
